CEREC® (Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics)

The system allows him to create custom-fit ceramic restorations in a single appointment, as opposed to sending molds to outside dental labs as was previously necessary. During your procedure, Dr. Yeager will first examine your teeth and determine the proper treatment. CEREC® can create several restorations for both functionality and cosmetic purposes. A camera that detects the powder takes an optical impression (digital photograph), and a computer converts this data into a three-dimensional virtual image that allows Dr. Yeager to design the restoration. Then the CEREC® machine shapes the piece of ceramic right in our office. It is finished in minutes and can immediately be bonded into place on your teeth. Opalescence® Home Whitening
Opalescence® is the state-of-the-art product that Dr. Yeager uses for whitening your teeth, and the process has never been easier. One major advantage, and the reason why many patients choose this option, is that the procedure can be performed at home at your own convenience. Trays made with thin, comfortable plastic are created at the office. They fit tightly and perfectly against your teeth. You load the trays with Opalescence® gel and wear them at home for about an hour a day. As the gel dissolves it breaks down into oxygen and penetrates into the enamel to make your teeth whiter. Results can be seen in as little as one application, but teeth will get whiter and whiter as the treatments continue.

Invisalign® Orthodontics
Traditional braces are implemented by bonding a metal bracket to each tooth, connecting them with a wire, and applying pressure with rubber bands. Schick® Digital X-rays
Everybody knows about the detailed images and information that can be obtained through the use of X-rays. X-rays allow Dr. Yeager to look inside your jaw and bone structure to diagnose problems that would otherwise remain hidden. However, it is also known that X-rays can harmful and can even cause cancer with prolonged exposure, which is why heavy lead vests and cover are used. That potential danger is one of the reasons why Dr. Yeager only uses the Schick® X-ray system at his Santa Rosa, CA office. As well as providing one of the highest quality digital images, it also reduces the amount of radiation by 80 percent when compared to traditional X-ray systems. VELscope® Oral Cancer Screening
VELscope® is one of the most effective new tools that Dr. Yeager can use to check oral tissue for signs of developing diseases. It is "the only non-invasive adjunctive device clinically proven to help discover occult oral disease." A blue light (100% safe) is directed into the mouth where it illuminates even the deep levels of oral tissue. The results are simple to read and are seen instantly, as healthy tissue becomes a bright apple-green and suspicious regions remain dark and unaffected.
As well as screenings, patients are advised to notice in their own mouths the early warning signs of oral cancer. These may include unusual lumps, lesions that don't seem to heal, and any prolonged red or white discolorations (all mouth tissues are usually a healthy shade of pink).
