Invisalign® Orthodontics



Traditional braces are implemented by bonding a metal bracket to each tooth, connecting them with a wire, and applying pressure with rubber bands.  Invisalign is very effective for straightening teeth, but many people, especially adults, feel embarrassed about the visibility of the treatment.  Furthermore all that metal in the mouth is prone to creating abrasions.  Just ask anyone who has gone through orthodontic treatment, and they will attest that any small trauma results in painful sores.  Another drawback is the amount of maintenance required to keep the teeth clean.  Food particles missed while brushing can permanently damage the tooth enamel if not regularly removed.

Invisalign®invisible orthodontic system eliminates all these concerns.  Instead of employing wires and metal brackets, a series of clear plastic molds gradually move your teeth into place.  The plastic retainers cannot be seen, so nobody knows.  They are smooth and thin, so there is no discomfort.  And the best part is you can remove them during meals and while brushing, so optimal hygiene can be maintained. 

On your initial visit, molds are taken and used to create the first retainer, and your treatment plan is outlined.  The retainers are worn every day, except during meals and while brushing, and you will receive new ones every few weeks, depending on the phase of your treatment.  Using this system you can gradually transform you smile without altering your normal habits or functionality.
